How the job goes

    Removal

    We remove all of the old sealant. New sealant applied over old does not hold.

  2. 02

    Preparation

    Surfaces cleaned, dry and free of residue, so the sealant adheres.

  3. 03

    Application

    New sealant, in the colour you choose, applied in one continuous joint.

  4. 04

    Tooling

    The joint is smoothed and shaped so water runs off it.

  5. 05

    Clean-up

    We leave with the debris. You have nothing to pick up.

  • DOWSIL™ sealants

    We apply professional sealants from the DOWSIL™ range, including 791 and CWS, chosen for the surface and the exposure.

  • Lifetime warranty on 791

    Joints made with DOWSIL™ 791 carry a lifetime warranty on materials and labour. The conditions are written in your contract.

  • Custom

    Your specifications call for a specific product? We install it. We can also apply a sealant you supply: we then tell you what that changes for the warranty.

Frequently asked questions

Do the inside and outside need to be done at the same time?

Not always. The outside protects against water, the inside against drafts. We look at both during the assessment and tell you what is worth doing.

Can you caulk in winter?

Yes. We caulk all year round, inside and outside: our sealants can be applied in cold weather. We prepare each surface so it is clean, dry and free of frost when we apply the sealant.

Do you have a colour that matches my siding?

Yes. We offer 16 colours: whites, beiges, browns, greys, bronze, brick. We compare them with your siding on site.

Do you also install weatherstripping?

Yes. Caulking seals the frame to the wall; weatherstripping seals the door or window when it is closed. We replace worn weatherstripping on the same job.

Do you work at heights?

It depends on the building. We look at access during the assessment and explain in the quote how we will work.
