How the job goes

  1. 01

    Removal

    We remove all of the old sealant. New sealant applied over old does not hold.

  2. 02

    Preparation

    Surfaces cleaned, dry and free of residue, so the sealant adheres.

  3. 03

    Application

    New sealant, in the colour you choose, applied in one continuous joint.

  4. 04

    Tooling

    The joint is smoothed and shaped so water runs off it.

  5. 05

    Clean-up

    We leave with the debris. You have nothing to pick up.

Materials

Professional sealants, a written warranty, and custom work when the project calls for it.

  • DOWSIL™ sealants

    We apply professional sealants from the DOWSIL™ range, including 791 and CWS, chosen for the surface and the exposure.

  • Lifetime warranty on 791

    Joints made with DOWSIL™ 791 carry a lifetime warranty on materials and labour. The conditions are written in your contract.

  • Custom

    Your specifications call for a specific product? We install it. We can also apply a sealant you supply: we then tell you what that changes for the warranty.

Frequently asked questions

Do you work from an architect's specifications?

Yes. We install the product specified. If you wish, we can propose an equivalent from the DOWSIL™ range.

Do you work as a subcontractor?

Yes, for general contractors. The quote, the contract and the invoice are in the name of SLT Construction.

Do you work outside Montréal?

Yes: Québec City, Gatineau, Sherbrooke, Saguenay, the Beauce and Lanaudière, as well as Greater Montréal.
